Pan Pacific Yangon hotel review: Restaurants, wellness, location, and facilities.

Nestled in the heart of Yangon, the Pan Pacific stands as a beacon of luxury and comfort.

This prestigious hotel, with its stunning views of the city skyline and the shimmering Yangon River, offers an unparalleled guest experience.

From the moment you step into its grand lobby, the Pan Pacific Yangon surrounds you with its elegant decor and warm, welcoming ambiance.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of spending several nights at Pan Pacific Yangon and would like to share my experience with you.

The Pan Pacific Yangon Hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the central business district and connected to the Junction City Shopping Mall.

Its prime location allows easy walking access to many of Yangon’s famed tourist attractions in the city’s old town, including the nearby Bogyoke Aung San Market.

Pan Pacific Yangon Rooms & Suites

The hotel has 320 rooms and 10 different room categories.

1. Pan Pacific Yangon Rooms

While at Pan Pacific Yangon, I stayed in a Pacific Club Studio King Room on the 25th floor.

From the moment I walked into the room, I felt like I was in my own little oasis.

The room is quite spacious (51 sqm), making it a comfortable space to lounge around.

The bathroom is probably the most impressive part of this room, as it boasts beautifully detailed floors, a marble bathtub, and excellent lighting that can be adjusted depending on the mood you’d like to create.

I often preferred to shower instead, as I loved using the rain shower.

Another lovely feature this room has is the large, floor-to-ceiling windows, which provide guests with a stunning view of the city and Yangon River.

The view is even better from the king bed, in my opinion. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud because the bedding was so soft and cozy!

There is also a cute desk next to the window if you want to work or add some notes to your diary.

Honestly, it’s difficult to focus and not get distracted by this fantastic view of Yangon.

In total, the Pan Pacific Yangon has ten different room and suite categories:

Deluxe Room (28 to 32 m²): The Deluxe Room features floor-to-ceiling windows, a separate shower and bathtub, and an extendable workstation with city views.

Premier Corner King Room (42 m²): The Premier Corner King Room boasts stunning views of Shwedagon Pagoda and the city and offers a separate shower and bathtub, along with a spacious work area.

Premier Studio King Room (51 m²): The Premier Studio King Room offers a spacious workspace, panoramic city views, and a contemporary, bright interior with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Junior Suite (62 m²): The Junior Suite at Yangon’s top 5-star hotel features stunning views of Shwedagon Pagoda, contemporary amenities, and distinct work and living spaces.

Premier Suite (68 m²): The Premier Suites are situated on the higher floors with stunning views of the city and Yangon River.

Pacific Club Room (32 to 42 m²): The Pacific Club Room offers exclusive privileges like complimentary breakfast and access to the Pacific Club Lounge.

Pacific Club Junior Suite (62 m²): The Pacific Club Junior Suite has a separate living area with stunning city views and exclusive Pacific Club privileges.

Pacific Club Premier Suite (69 m²): The Pacific Club Premier Suite provides panoramic city views, spacious work and relaxation areas, and Pacific Club perks.

Presidential Suite (215 m²): The Presidential Suite, situated on the hotel’s top floor, provides a spacious and upscale residential ambiance, complete with a luxurious bedroom and separate areas for meetings, living, and dining.

Pan Pacific Yangon Club Lounge

I stayed in the Pacific Club Studio King Room, which offered access to the Pan Pacific Club Lounge on the 25th floor, right next to my room.

It was a great convenience to check in directly at the lounge front desk rather than at the main reception counter.

The lounge offers comfortable sitting areas with spectacular city views.

Soft drinks and coffee & tea are complimentary throughout the day until 10 PM.

High tea

The lounge is probably the best place to experience high tea in Yangon!

And the best part is, it’s complementary if you have a room with lounge access!

During my stay, I enjoyed the afternoon tea almost every day. The chef offered a different variety of canapes and sweets daily.

Evening Cocktails and Canapes

Every night from 6 to 8 PM, guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails and canapes at the lounge.

The chef prepared different canapes every night, like prawn cocktails, tuna croissants, sushi, soups, cheese plates, and desserts.

After a day of exploring the city, I enjoyed drinking a Gin Tonic at the lounge.

The quiet atmosphere was a nice contrast to the busy streets of Yangon.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Thaw, Amy, Phoo, Amara, and Zari.

Pool Pan Pacific Yangon

The pool area is a great place to disconnect.

I especially enjoyed swimming in the infinity pool facing the stunning cathedral directly.

I recommend going to the pool in the morning as the sun disappears behind the building at around 12:20 PM.

Around the pool, various seating areas are available, offering options to bask in the sunshine or lounge in the shade.

I also really liked the sunbeds in the pool’s shallow area.

After my gym workouts, I appreciated using the sauna, steam room, and hot bath in the locker room.

I usually visited around noon and was often the only guest there.

Wellness & Spa at Pan Pacific Yangon

The St. Gregory Spa on the Wellness Floor of the hotel offers a wide range of treatments, like Myanmar traditional massage, facials, and wellness therapies.

One of the treatment rooms features a jacuzzi with a city view! Pretty cool! It’s too bad that I couldn’t use it during my stay!

Pan Pacific Yangon Gym

The gym is open 24 hours, and you can enjoy stunning views of the city and the infinity pool while exercising.

It is well-equipped with a wide range of cardio, weight, and strength equipment.

Restaurants & Bars

The Pan Pacific Yangon has four different restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Saan Restaurant

Opening times: 7.00 am to 11.00 pm

Saan is the hotel’s main restaurant, and breakfast is served here.

It is open daily from 7 AM to 11 PM and offers local and international cuisines.

Breakfast:

Breakfast at Saan restaurant is delicious and served daily from 06:30 Am to 10:00 AM.

The buffet is huge, and you can choose from different cuisines, including a live cooking station to order local Myanmar dishes.

Although I stayed ten days at the hotel, I never got bored of the breakfast, as the selection is vast and changes daily.

Tip: I recommend reserving a table by the window to enjoy breakfast with a view!

Hai Tien Lo

Hai Tien Lo is a Chinese restaurant that specializes in authentic Cantonese dishes.

With its modern oriental décor, the restaurant is perfect for festive occasions.

It also offers private rooms suitable for business meetings or family events.

The Teak Bar

The Teak Bar, located between the main reception counter and the Saan restaurant, is renowned for its excellent cocktails and sunset views.

As I had access to the Club lounge on the 25th floor, I didn’t enjoy drinks here.

Pacific Marketplace

This Yangon cafe serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, pastries, and a range of homemade cakes, chocolates, and macarons.

You will actually cross the Pacific Marketplace when you want to take advantage of the direct mall access from the hotel.
