If you’re heading to Honiara and looking for a place that blends comfort with a taste of local history, Heritage Park Hotel is a solid choice.
I recently stayed here and found several highlights that made my visit to the Solomon Islands extra special.
Heritage Park Hotel – Room Comforts
While at the Heritage Park Hotel Honiara, I stayed in a spacious Deluxe room on the ground floor.
The best part of my room was the incredible view of the ocean and the hotel’s lush green garden!
I also had a small private terrace with a dining area, where I enjoyed drinking a cup of tea or working on my computer, especially since the sea breeze kept it comfortably cool.
Heritage Park Hotel – Facilities
My favorite place during my stay at the Heritage Park Hotel Honiara was the large outdoor swimming pool. Given Honiara’s high temperatures, I really enjoyed jumping into the water!
It is also a great place to sunbathe, enjoy a cold drink, listen to music, or read a book!
I also took advantage of the well-equipped gym! While I was staying at the hotel, they were actually working on a brand-new gym and spa to offer guests an even better experience!
Heritage Park Hotel also hosts the best nightclub in Honiara! But you’ll need to hurry up if you still want to experience it – it will close in a few months to make room for a new building!
Heritage Park Hotel – Dining Options
Dining at Heritage Park Hotel Honiara was a delight!
The hotel has three restaurants, each catering to different tastes.
GG’s Restaurant is an indoor, air-conditioned restaurant serving a mix of European and Pan Asian cuisine that showcases local ingredients.
The Terrace provides a laid-back atmosphere for dining at any time of day, including a breakfast buffet.
The Splash Bar & Grill, located by the waterfront, is ideal for a casual drink or snack. I highly recommend it for afternoon drinks and dinner.
The service at all three restaurants was amazing, and the food was delicious! During my three-night stay, I tried almost the whole menu and liked every single dish!
A Bit About the Location
The hotel itself is steeped in history, occupying the site of the old Governor General’s residence.
It’s fascinating to stay at a place that has retained its historical architecture while providing modern comforts. This blend of old and new adds a unique charm to the stay.
The Heritage Park Hotel provided more than just a room to stay in; it offered a welcoming base from which to explore Honiara and relax comfortably.
Whether you’re visiting Honiara for business or leisure, this hotel caters to all types of travelers. With its strategic location, excellent dining, and top facilities, it’s easy to see why it’s highly recommended by those who visit.
