Arrived in Los Angeles after a 11.30 hours flight I first checked out Redondo Beach and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and some good food.

On the next day I rented a car with three colleagues of mine … not any car but a Ford Mustang.

We had a rough plan where we wanted to go and a very detailed (NOT!) map of L.A.

From the hotel we hit the road to the famous 100 year old landmark Santa Monica Pier. Films like Titanic, Iron Man and Forrest Gump where amongst others shot here.

There is even a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant on the pier which is inspired by the film Forrest Gump.

From Santa Monica Pier we continued to Beverly Hills, the home of many actors and celebrities and one of the best things to do in LA.

Of course I knew about this city from media but it was always so far away and now I was driving through the streets with a Mustang. Crazy!!!

A L.A. sightseeing tour is of course not complete without a visit of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

A photo of the famous Hollywood sign also must not be missing. It proved to be quite a challenge to first find the sign and then a good spot to take a photo.

The time in L.A. was so far my best layover and I must admit that I am already addicted to my new job as Flight Attendant. I am looking forward to many new adventures in the next 6 months.
