Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa in Hawaii recommended by Julie from Ruhls of the Road
The location, service, on-site amenities, and the adventure you can have while staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai are what makes this hotel so unique, and stand out from every other place you can hang your hat.
First off, let’s talk location. What are the 3 L’s in real estate? Location! Location! Location! The Grand Hyatt Kauai is nestled right near the southern tip of the island.
This hotel is right on top of an incredibly beautiful beach and a stone’s throw from Maha’ulepu Heritage Ridge Trail. This trail is very easy, and gives a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean, especially during sunrise and sunset.
One of the best sites in Kauai are the sunrises and sunsets. Many places you can stay will give you a beautiful view either the sunrise or the sunset, depending on which way you face.
A benefit of staying at Grand Hyatt Kauai is that you get to see both! Since the hotel is located on the southern tip of the island, you can look both East and West and see the horizon on the Pacific Ocean. On Maha’ulepu Ridge, the sunrises and sunsets are especially gorgeous.
The on-site amenities at the Grand Hyatt Kauai take this place to the next level. For starters, there are on-site restaurants offering delicious American, Italian, Hawaiian, and Japanese dishes.
In addition, there is an on-site spa, multiple shops, a 24 hour fitness center, and traditional luau ceremonies for you to attend. If you are a golfer, the Poipu Bay Golf Course is one of the most stunning 18 hole courses in the world.
Now, most people come to Hawaii for some good ol’ fashioned rest and relaxation. The Grand Hyatt Kauai offers an absolutely ENORMOUS pool area for you to sunbathe and enjoy the perfect weather.
To start, the pool area is multiple levels, with waterfalls flowing between each level. There are a few different hot tubs scattered around the pool area, and an adults-only section with a bar for you to grab a nice cocktail to enjoy.
For the kids, there is a 150 foot water slide and a beach-entry section, in addition to a lazy river that floats past the aforementioned waterfalls and goes all the way around the pool area.
If you’d rather hang out by the ocean than the pool, the ocean side beach is right in front of the resort, and offers beautiful views the entire day long.
Kauai is home to some of the most incredible landscapes in the world, all of which are easily accessible from the Grand Hyatt Kauai. One of the things that makes this place so special is that you can relax and recharge, enjoy awesome views, and also use the hotel as a launching pad for some amazing hikes and adventures!
Located on the east side of the island just a short drive from the hotel is the Wailua area.
In Wailua you’ll see beautiful waterfalls, the best of which are Wailua Falls and Opaeka’a Falls. The Kuilau Ridge is an epic hike that takes you through the Hawaiian jungle and comes out with one of the best views on the entire island.
On the west side of the island is the Na Pali Coast, featured in many movies including the Jurassic Park series. This is a STUNNING section of land that you will have to see to believe.
The green cliffs, sandy beaches full of sea turtles, and huge waterfalls make the Na Pali Coast a must when visiting Hawaii. The easiest way to see this area is on a boat excursion, however there are hikes available as well.
When staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai, you’ll be able to easily access both the Wailua area and the Na Pali Coast, including any excursions you are interested on the island.
The Grand Hyatt Kauai is the perfect place for people from all over. Adventure seekers, families, business travelers, and vacationers will all feel at home in this beautiful Hawaiian setting.
The hotel’s location, on-site amenities, and nearby adventures set it apart from any other hotels in the world. You will truly have a once-in-a-lifetime experience when you stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai.
